How does it work?
UltraCol 200 is an innovative collagen biostimulant based on the highly biocompatible and resorbable active ingredient polydioxanone (PDO). This active ingredient has been certified by the U.S., EU, Korean and Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and has been used for over 30 years as a safe surgical material and as a thread material in aesthetics.
For some time now, UltraCol 200 has been used as a new way to process PDO threads by turning them into spherical microparticles and adding carboxymethyl cellulose. This carrier is very well tolerated and supports the body’s natural collagen in the connective tissue. This creates more volume and a natural lifting effect. The elasticity of the skin is also improved.
How is the treatment done?
First, the skin is cleaned and disinfected. Then the active substance is injected directly into the area to be treated via a fine cannula. The treatment is almost painless. Nevertheless, we still apply an anaesthetic cream to the skin beforehand.
What should I consider after the treatment?
After the treatment, you may experience minimal discomfort, swelling or mild redness, but this will subside within a few days. You should avoid intense sporting activities and direct sunlight during this time. Any slight bruising can be easily covered with make-up after one day, so that you can immediately continue your usual social activities again.
When will the result be visible?
The first results of the UltraCol treatment usually appear immediately after application of the product. Over the course of a few weeks, the skin-rejuvenating effect is further enhanced.
